We are very lucky to be situated in an area of the country that offers a wide range of places to visit providing rich and varied learning experiences for the children. Educational visits are organised to provide first hand experiences in a range of curriculum areas.
Teachers have taken advantage of the opportunities presented by the local environment by planning scientific, artistic, poetry writing and historical based visits to Earl’s Hill, Poles Coppice and Callow Hill. The local churchyard has been a focus of study for Class 4 throughout the summer by developing a wildlife area and gaining historical information from the gravestones.
Classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 visited Holy Trinity Church to learn about Easter through ‘Experience Easter’ workshops and Classes 2 and 3 visited Minsterley Parish Church for a Christingle Service.
All children have the opportunity to take part in a residential visit to the Pioneer Centre near Cleobury Mortimer which includes an activity day at The Old Vicarage Centre during their time at Minsterley School.
