Job Advert: Year 5/6 Teacher at Minsterley Primary School

Minsterley Primary School is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Year 5/6 teacher to join our exceptional team. We pride ourselves on our high standards, excellent behaviour, and our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community within our school.

As a Year 5/6 teacher at Minsterley Primary School, you will have the opportunity to work with bright and enthusiastic students who are eager to learn. Our school is known for its ambitious approach to education, and we are looking for a teacher who shares our commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and inspiring our students to reach their full potential. This position is not suitable for an ECT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to achieve their best
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love for learning and encourages independent thinking
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/carers to support their ongoing development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in extracurricular activities and school events

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6)
  • A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to effectively plan and deliver lessons that meet its requirements
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents/carers
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community
