Drums with Mr Maher
Each week Mr Maher comes in from Shropshire Music Service to teach some of our pupils the drums. They have made fantastic progress and there will be a drumming assembly on Wednesday 15th November at 2pm. Please contact Shropshire Music Services if you would like lessons for you child.

Rapid Relief Team

New Balance Bikes!
Shropshire Council are partnering with The Bikeability Trust to trial a new approach to cycle training in schools. We have had the opportunity to be part of this exciting pilot programme and train members of staff up to deliver training to our pupils in school. We have just received 6 new balance bikes for our children to learn to cycle!

Singing Assembly
We have been learning some new songs in our singing assembly this week.
Open the Book Assembly
Each month our friends from ‘Open The Book’ join us to tell us a story from the bible.
World Poetry Day Assembly
To celebrate world poetry day we had a special assembly where each class shared a poem. They all were excellent! Well done to Long Mynd Class that won £50 book vouchers for their poetry performance.
Year 1 Maths
The children have been learning about more, less and equal to in maths so far this term in Year 1. We have also been making fact families with our addition and using part whole models to help us learn.
Real life scientist!
Stiperstones and Long Mynd Class met with Steve Cooper who is an Aeronautical engineer. He talked about working with fighter jets and space rockets linked to engineering and science.
Clee Class out in Forest Schools
Clee Class have had a great time out in Forest Schools this term.
Pontesbury library
This morning Clee Class visited Pontesbury library. They had a great time learning about books.
Year 2 Bikeability
The children in Year 2 had a great time this week learning how to balance with Learncycle. Next week they will be back out on the bikes putting all the skills they have learnt together.

Community Good Neighbours
Community Good Neighbours and Rea Valley Food Bank have kindly donated food parcels for all those in need before the summer holidays. They are all sitting ready to be collected for those that have requested one. If you havent requested one but would still like one then please dojo the school office. We have a few spare!
End of Year Data 2023
Pleased to share the amazing results from Year 6 SATS, Year 2 SATS and end of EYFS, Phonic screeners and Multiplication Check. As a school our pupils have achieved well above national in writing, grammar and punctuation, reading and maths. We are proud of all of the pupils at Minsterley School!
Amazing ICT- Parent e-safety course
Last month we have Richard from amazing ICT in to do two workshops with the children and then a parent e-safety course. His powerpoint was posted on Class Dojo. We have also posted it below for you to refer back to. It was a very informative session.
