Omushana Charity
Yesterday we had Gill in for assembly to talk to the children about the Omushana charity which helps schools in Uganda. Over the past 8 years Minsterley School has raised over £600 and has donated of 1000 books to the schools in Uganda. To raise more money, we have items made in Uganda by the children for sale next week. All items cost £2 each. They will be on sale a breaktime everyday next week. Here is a selection of what is available. We have left the children thinking about more ways to raise money when we return to school in September.
Here is the PowerPoint Gill used in the assembly with pictures of the books we sent off in Uganda along with pictures of the children holding Minsterley School leaflets that were sent over to tell the children about our school.
